Special Council Meeting January 19, 2008

Oso Memorial Hall, Sharbot Lake

The purpose of the special meeting was to review the draft Organization Review report for the municipality prepared by Bill Winegard, Brian Donaldson and Hans Muntz.

The meeting was a “Closed Meeting” as several proposed changes to existing jobs/positions were discussed involving identifiable employees.

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 9:30 a.m. All members of Council were in attendance. Staff in attendance: J. DuChene Acting Clerk-Administrator

            That Council enter closed session to discuss matters involving identifiable             employees.

            That Council rise and report from Closed Session.

The Acting Clerk Administrator was then directed to proceed to fill the position of Public Works Manager in consultation with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillor Gary Smith.

In addition to this direction, Council requested that the consultants present the recommendations of the report to all municipal staff in the afternoon of Wednesday February 6, 2008 and that a special Council Session be held that evening to explain the recommendations to the public.

There was no further business discussed.
