Council met in regular session, Tuesday June 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. (following the Committee of Adjustment meeting) at the Olden District Hall, Mountain Grove.
Present: Mayor, Janet Gutowski
Councillors, Normand Guntensperger, Bob Harvey, Jeff Matson, John Purdon, Frances Smith, Gary Smith, Phillip Smith
Absent: Deputy Mayor, Bill Snyder
Staff in attendance: John DuChene, Acting Clerk-Administrator. Also present: Craig Bakay – Gazette Reporter and Jeff Green – Frontenac News Reporter
Also in Attendance: Councillor Bill Robinson, Township of South Frontenac

Joe Dupuis, representing the Hinchinbrooke Recreation Committee was introduced to discuss the holding of a proposed Family Day/ATV Event scheduled for July.

That the information presented by the Hinchinbrooke Recreation Committee (Joe Dupuis) regarding the Family Day/ATV Event planned for July 28, 2007 at the Parham Fairgrounds be received.

Michael Wise representing the Blue Heron Ridge Road association then approached Council to discuss the status of Council’s review regarding assistance for the maintenance of “unassumed public” roads.

That, in response to the request being made by the Blue Heron Ridge Road Association regarding financial assistance toward the maintenance of “unassumed public roads” staff is directed to identify the number of lane-kilometers of existing roads located within the municipality that (a) occupy lands owned by the municipality, (b) have not been assumed by the municipality for public use (c) are currently used for year round access by adjacent property owners and (d)are not year round roads but are open for use.

Council was advised that the only herbicide spraying done by the municipality is site specific control of poison ivy.

That the purchase of a new Cab and Chassis Diesel STD. tandem truck be awarded to Edwards Ford Sales, Kingston in the amount of $102,589.74 (includes all applicable taxes) and further that the purchase of Plow Equipment be awarded to Champion Road Machinery Sales, Carleton Place in the amount of $80,370.00 (includes all applicable taxes).
