Council met in regular session, Monday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Mountain Grove.
Present: Mayor, Janet Gutowski
Deputy Mayor, Bill Snyder
Councillors: Normand Guntensperger, Jeff Matson, John Purdon, Gary Smith, Councillor Phillip Smith
Absent: Councillors Frances Smith and Bob Harvey
Also in attendance: Staff members John DuChene, Judy Gray, and Cathy MacMunn
Also in attendance: Craig Bakay – Gazette Reporter and Jeff Green – Frontenac News Reporter
The agenda was introduced. Deputy Mayor Snyder requested that an item be added under Public Works, re: level of service issue, Hincinbrooke Ward. The Clerk requested that a letter from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing re: Algonquin Land Claim and Municipal Official Plans – consultation, be added under Information and Miscellaneous Correspondence.

Disclosure of pecuniary interest was then requested.
Councillor Matson declared potential conflict with the Public Works item 7b) Winter Ploughing Contract Amendment and item 7c) Accounts Payable.
The Minutes of the last meeting were then introduced.

-Cranberry Lake Road(from Bull Lake Road to Boomhaur Road), Hayes Road, Hinchy Road, Clark Road (from the junction of Brock road to currently maintained route) and Woodcock Road.

That Council for the Township of Central Frontenac on the recommendation of the Treasurer write-off taxes for the following Roll Numbers as a result of an unsuccessful Tax Sale.
Roll # 10 39 040 060 05900 -$7,487.19 and that this property be vested to the municipality.
Roll # 10 39 040 020 07000-$85,462.10 for tax arrears and penalties up to and including 2004. This property will be in Tax Sale position Dec 31, 2007 and will be eligible to start the Tax Sale process in 2008.
Roll # 10 39 040 020 10401 -$9,786.50 and that this property be vested to the municipality
And further that the appropriate amount be charged back to the School Board and the County.

That Council for the Township of Central authorize the Treasurer to sign the Municipal Data Works Agreement with Ontario Good Roads Association for the transfer of data identified by the Treasury Department for the purpose of Fixed Asset Valuation.

Whereas Section 14 of the Procedural By-Law authorizes the appointment of a Deputy Mayor on an annul basis; how therefore Robert Harvey is hereby appointed by Council as Deputy Mayor of the Corporation of the Township of Central Frontenac for the period December 11, 2007 to the first regular Council meeting in December 2008.
