Council Budget Session Minutes – March 19, 2007

Council met in special session, Monday, March 19, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at the Oso Hall , Sharbot Lake.
Present: Mayor, Janet Gutowski
Deputy Mayor, Bill Snyder
Councillors, Norman Guntensperger, Bob Harvey, Jeff Matson, John Purdon, Frances Smith, Gary Smith, Phillip Smith
Also in attendance: John DuChene, Acting Clerk-Administrator, Judy Gray Treasurer and Michael McGovern. Also present: Craig Bakay – Gazette Reporter and Jeff Green – Frontenac News Reporter
The Agenda was introduced. The purpose of the meeting was to review the preliminary 2007 municipal budget.

That the 2007 preliminary budget presented March 19, 2007 be received for information and further that staff be directed to reduce the budget by $100,000 for the next budget session scheduled for March 26, 2007.
Following the budget session, Council provided input to the development of a strategic plan. Forms were circulated and filled out by individual Councillors and then returned to staff for compilation at the end of the meeting.
That this meeting be adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
