Council Meeting – May 11, 2006

Council met in special session, Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 3:30p.m. at the Community Hall, Sharbot Lake.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the budget.

Present: Mayor, Bill MacDonald
    Deputy Mayor, Frances Smith
Councillors, Bill Guigue, Janet Gutowski, Bob Harvey, Logan Murray, Jack Nicolson, Faye Putnam, and Bill Snyder.

Also in attendance Heather Fox – Clerk-Administrator, Bill Nicol – Public Works Administrator, Judy Gray – Treasurer, Mark MacDonald – Fire Chief, Michael McGovern – Financial Assistant, Judy Koch – Frontenac News Reporter, Craig Bakay – Gazette Reporter.

One member of the public attended for all of the meeting and 3 members of the Fire Department (Mountain Grove Station) attended for the Fire Department portion of the meeting.

The following resolutions were presented:
#158        Jack Nicolson, Bob Harvey
That the draft 2006 budget, as amended be approved and the Clerk instructed to prepare the necessary by-law for the May 23rd, 2006 Council meeting.

#159        Faye Putnam, Frances Smith
Pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001 that Council proceed In Camera to discuss, the security of the property of the municipality or local Board
                                    Carried

#160        Frances Smith, Faye Putnam
        That the In Camera meeting return to regular Council.
                                            Carried

#161        Bob Harvey, Jack Nicolson
That the meeting adjourn until, Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 9:00a.m. at Sharbot Lake or the call of the Mayor.
                                    Carried
