COUNCIL MINUTES - JUNE 8, 2004

Council met in special session on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Sharbot Lake.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss "In Camera" items as well as election at large.

Present:                        Mayor Bill MacDonald

                                    Deputy Mayor Faye Putnam

                                    Councillors Bill Guigue, Janet Gutowski, Bob Harvey,

                                    Logan Murray, Jack Nicolson, Frances Smith & Bill Snyder.

Also present Heather Fox - Clerk Administrator and Bill Nicol - Public Works Manager.

There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest.

A discussion took place regarding the pros and cons of election at large.

The following resolutions were presented.

                        That the agenda of June 8, 2004 be adopted as presented.

#212                Bill Snyder, Logan Murray

                        Pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001 that Council

                        proceed In Camera to discuss:  a proposed or pending acquisition or

                        disposition of land by the municipality or local board.

                        That the In Camera meeting return to regular Council.

#214                Bob Harvey, Jack Nicolson

                        That the Public Works Manager proceed to tender by invitation for a

                        5 bay addition to the works garage in Mountain Grove.  Further that

                        renovations be made to the works garage at Godfrey to provide 1 ½

                        bays, both items as the first steps to a Salt Containment Plan.  Also that

                        the works garage at Arden be used for storage of seasonal equipment and

                        that negotiations take place to rent the public works garage at Sharbot                                Lake.

                        That the meeting adjourn until Monday, June 14^th, 2004 or the call of the
