COUNCIL MINUTES - FEBRUARY 16, 2004
Council met in regular session, Monday, February 16, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Library Building, Mountain Grove.
Present: Mayor Bill MacDonald
Deputy Mayor Faye Putnam
Councillor Bill Guigue, Janet Gutowski, Bob Harvey, Logan Murray,
Jack Nicolson, Frances Smith and Bill Snyder
In the absence of the Clerk the Deputy Clerk performed the duties of the Clerk.
Also in attendance Cathy MacMunn - Deputy Clerk, Sandra Clow - Clerical Assistant, Jay DeBernardi - Fire Chief, Jeff Green - Frontenac News and John Chambers - Gazette Reporter.
9 members of the public attended.
John Balint attended to discuss the "Kids of Steel Triathlon" on August 1, 2003.
Terry Murphy, Quinte Conservation Authority, Dell Hallett of Rideau Valley Conservation Authority and Paul Lehman of the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority attended to discuss their respective 2004 budgets.
Malcolm Sampson attended to discuss establishing a soccer league in this area with funding provided by Human Resources Canada.

August 22, 2004, the request to close Road 38 and Brewer Road at a time frame to be determined be approved.

That the request from Malcolm Sampson to work with the Township of Central Frontenac to organize and implement a soccer league in the township, with funding through Human Resources Canada, for an 8 month
period be approved and the township pay the Employment Insurance,
Canada Pension Plan, Worker's Compensation and the Employer Health
Tax.

a strategic planning session with the municipalities to cover issues which

the NOW Alliance and its Rural Health Action Plan on doctor shortages
be received and approved.
