COUNCIL MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 26, 2003

Council met in special session Friday, September 26, 2003 at the Council Chambers, Sharbot Lake at 5:00 p.m.

Present:            Mayor Bill MacDonald

                        Councillors Bob Harvey, Marsden Kirk, Elva Price, Faye R. Putnam, Frances Smith

                        and Bill Snyder

Absent: Deputy Mayor Jack Nicolson and Councillor Boyce Peters

Also in attendance Heather Fox - Clerk Administrator and Bill Nicol - Public Works Manager.

The purpose of the meeting was to allow presentations from the consulting firms regarding Stone's Bridge on Brewer Road.

Presentations were made by Stephen Robins of McCormick Rankin Corporation, Phil Whalen of
McIntosh Perry and Steve Archibald of Archibald Peterson Ltd.

The following resolutions were presented.

#358                Bill Snyder, Marsden Kirk

                        That Tender #03-11 to provide a soils report for the proposed replacement to Stone's

                        Bridge be awarded to Golder Associates in the amount of $7,220.00.

#359                Frances Smith, Elva Price

                        That Tender #03-10 to prepare construction documents for the removal and                              reconstruction of Stone's Bridge be awarded to McCormick Rankin Consulting          

                        Engineers in the amount of $33,050.00.

                        That the meeting adjourn until Tuesday, October 14^th @ 7:00 p.m. at Mountain                                     Grove or the call of the Mayor.
