COUNCIL MINUTES

MARCH 12, 2003

Council met in special session, Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. to review preliminary budget figures.

Also in attendance Heather Fox - Clerk Administrator, Judy Gray - Treasurer/Tax Collector, Bill Nicol - Public Works Manager and Sandra Clow - Clerical Assistant.

Council recessed for lunch at 11:45 a.m. and reconvened at 1:00 p.m.

Mark Sandeman and Lisa Shore of the Department of Fisheries & Oceans attended to discuss the future of the Crow Lake Wharf which was destroyed by ice and wind in 2002. Council was advised that there was not enough funding available to replace the dock as it formerly existed.

Mr. Sandeman and Ms. Shore had a meeting scheduled at 3:00 p.m. at Crow Lake Hall with members of the Community. They advised a letter would be forthcoming from their department asking Council directly what the Townships intentions are.

The preliminary budget review reconvened at 2:00 p.m. and adjourned at 3:20 p.m. A date was not established for the next budget meeting.
