Council met in regular session, Monday, December 8, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Library Building, Mountain Grove, On.
Present: Mayor Bill MacDonald
Deputy Mayor Faye R. Putnam
Councillors Bill Guigue, Janet Gutowski, Bob Harvey, Logan Murray,
Jack Nicolson, Frances Smith and Bill Snyder
Also in attendance Heather Fox - Clerk Administrator, Bill Nicol - Public Works Manager,
Sandra Clow - Clerical Assistant, Jay DeBernardi - Fire Chief, Josee Tanner - Frontenac News Reporter and John Chambers - Gazette Reporter.
5 members of the public attended.
Councillor Frances Smith was inducted to office by Clerk - Heather Fox.
There were no disclosures of Pecuniary interest.
Annette Gray- Jackson attended to discuss a "Did you know" column project to be researched and prepared by the Algonquin & Limestone Industry Education Council Seeking Alternatives group. The article would be municipal items of interest to the ratepayers.
Lawrence Villalta attended to discuss the extension of the Goodfellow Road and provided a copy of the letter from the School Board re: busing.
Jay DeBernardi provided an orientation for Council members on the Fire Department and Emergency Management.

That the letter from Steven Salmond requesting the township to remove a beaver dam on private property to enable Mr. Salmond to use an unopened road allowance be received, and that Bill Nicol and Logan Murray meet with Mr. Salmond and Mr. Garey to try to mediate the issue and report back to Council.
