Council Minutes - December 1, 2003

The Inaugural meeting of the Township of Central Frontenac was held on Monday, December 1, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Hall, Sharbot Lake.

Present:                        Mayor Bill MacDonald

                                    Councillors Bill Guigue, Janet Gutowski, Bob Harvey, Logan Murray,

                                    Jack Nicolson, Faye R. Putnam and Bill Snyder

Absent:             Councillor Frances Smith

Staff attendance - Heather Fox, Sandra Clow, Judy Gray, Ian Trickett, Donna Longmire, Bill Nicol, Cathy MacMunn, Michael McGovern, Chris Matheson, Jay DeBernardi and Randy Vinkle.

Heather Fox, Clerk, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Rev. Patricia Henry offered prayer.

Mayor Bill MacDonald was inducted by the Clerk, followed by induction of the members of Council in unison by the Mayor.

Each Councillor gave their Inaugural address followed by the Mayor's address.

Mayor MacDonald introduced staff members and several guests.

Moved by Bob Harvey, seconded by Bill Snyder

That Faye Putnam be appointed Deputy Mayor from December 1, 2003 to December 31, 2004.

Rev. Patricia Henry offered the closing prayer and grace.  Refreshments were then enjoyed by all.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
