COUNCIL MINUTES June 26, 2001
Council met in regular session, Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at the
Council Chambers, Sharbot Lake.

Councillors Bob Harvey, Marsden Kirk, Boyce Peters, Elva
Price,
Faye R. Putnam and Bill Snyder
Absent Frances Smith
Also in attendance Heather Fox, Clerk, Bill Nicol Public Works Manager, Ian
Trickett Chief Building Official, Chris Bertrim - Departmental Secretary,
David Brison, Frontenac News Reporter, Ian Reid Gazette Reporter.
One member of the public attended.
There were no declarations of pecuniary interest.
Mike Rines attended regarding the road allowance closure at Pt Lot 8 between
Concession 10 & 11. There were no comments received objecting to the closure.
Mr. Rines presented the plan of survey which he was advised would have to be
registered prior to the approved by-law being registered.
Arden Brash & Norma Granlund attended to discuss the lease agreement for the
Crow Lake Community Hall. They requested a clause be added to make it more
binding so that Council could not sell it out from under them. It was decided
that
the lease agreement remains unchanged and that a letter be forwarded from
Council stating that Council has no thought of selling the facility. They were
also
advised their request to have the municipal maintenance employee cut the grass
outside the facility would be taken under consideration.
Glenn Stinson attended on behalf of the Parham Agricultural Society requesting
a letter acknowledging that the municipality is aware that helicopter rides will
be
conducted at Parham Fair, being a requirement of their contract.
At 10:30am, Council had the distinct pleasure of honouring four residents of the
municipality with Senior of the Year Awards as follows;
Hinchinbrooke District Jack York, presented by Boyce Peters & Bill Snyder
Kennebec District Helen Praskey, presented by Marsden Kirk
Olden District Ada MacDonald, presented by Faye Putnam
Oso District Marcel Giroux, presented by Bill MacDonald
The Council chamber was filled to capacity with family and friends of the
recipients. Refreshments were available following the presentation for all to
enjoy.
Following the awards Council recessed to hold a Committee of Adjustment
meeting at 11:00am.
Regular Council re-convened at 11:20am.

allowance between concessions 10 and 11 adjoining lot 8 and adjacent to the
shores of Chippego Lake in the geographic Township of Hinchinbrooke, now in
the Township of Central Frontenac, in the county of Frontenac, being that part
of
the said original road allowance between part 1 on Plan13R4840 and part 5 on
Plan 13R-7668; and the selling of the soil and freehold of the said parts of the
highway stopped up, be read a first and second time.

single limit each aircraft, each recurrence.
