COUNCIL MINUTES April 30, 2001
Council met in special session on Monday, April 30, 2001 for the purpose of
budgeting and tenders at the Council Chambers, Sharbot Lake at 1:00 p.m.
Present Mayor Bill MacDonald
Deputy Mayor Jack Nicolson
Councillors Marsden Kirk, Boyce Peters, Elva Price,
Faye R. Putnam, Frances Smith and Bill Snyder
Absent Councillor Bob Harvey
There were no declarations of pecuniary interest.
Also in attendance were Heather Fox Clerk, Judy Gray Treasurer and Bill
Nicol Public Works Manager, David Brison, Frontenac News reporter
attended for part of the afternoon.
Two representatives of Miller Paving and one from Dibblee Construction
attended for the Road 38 tender portion of the meeting.
The meeting recessed at 6:00 p.m. for a supper break and re-convened at
7:00 p.m.
The following resolutions were presented:

That the agenda be adopted as presented.

That the rules of the procedural by-law be waived and the representative
from
Miller Paving be allowed five minutes to speak on the cold in place recycling
option noted as Alternative #2 of the Road 38 Re-construction tender documents.

That the following action be taken on the Road 38 tender. That alternative
#1 be
accepted for re-construction of Road 38 and that the tender of ARMBRO
CONSTRUCTION be accepted in the amount of $1,946,507.28.

And further that the Crow Lake Beach not be tendered out and be included in the
job description of the Maintenance Employee. If any contract is not accepted,

Public Works Manager is authorized to award to the next lowest bid.
