COUNCIL MINUTES - NOVEMBER 20, 2000
Council met in regular session Monday, November 20, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Mountain Grove with all members present.
Staff members in attendance were Judy Gray, Bill Nicol, Heather Fox and Bev Howes Irwin.
Councillors elect Marsden Kirk, Boyce Peters and Bill Snyder were also in attendance.
Councillor Bob Harvey requested road name signs and trail signs be erected at the intersections and the cost be borne by the municipality. Request deferred to the new Council.
Councillor Dick Harwood updated Council on the North, Central, South Economic Development Committee and requested assurance that a Council representative would be appointed from the new Council.
Deputy Mayor Lloyd Lee agreed to stay on the 9-1-1 Committee at Council's pleasure. He also recommended that the Committee of Adjustment be a Committee of Council and the meetings held in conjunction with a regular Council meeting.
Mayor Bill MacDonald presented appreciation plaques to those not returning to Council - Doug Bearance, Richard Harwood and Lloyd Lee. Michael Beattie's plaque will be presented at a later date.
The following correspondence was received and filed: 1) Kennebec District Recreation Committee minutes; 2) Oso District Fire Department minutes; 3) Olden District Recreation Committee minutes; 4) FMB Summary; 5) Minutes of District Chiefs' meeting; 6) Letter of clarification re: Safe Streets Act.
