SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL - July 21st, 2000


Council met in special session on Friday, July 21, 2000 at 8:25 p.m. at the
Library Building, Mountain Grove with all members present except Doug Bearance
and Mike Beattie.

Prior to the Special Meeting, a Public Meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. to discuss
the intention to pass By-law # 2000-75.

The purpose of the meeting was to consider passage of By-law #2000-75, being a
by-law to submit a Question to the electors at the next regular municipal
election, passage of By-law #2000-76, being a by-law to establish a Civic
Addressing System, adoption of a Policy for a Purchase Order System and any
issues deemed by the Clerk to require immediate attention.

The Clerk was instructed to charge the appropriate fee pursuant to By-law #
1998-33 for use of Kennebec Hall for a church service.

A resolution to restrict the use of municipal garage property to municipal
personnel only or authorized personnel, was tabled until the next meeting on a
resolution by Jack Nicolson and Bob Harvey.

The following resolutions were passed:


#380 Dick Harwood, Jack Nicolson
That By-law #2000-75, being a by-law to submit a question to the Electors at the
next regular Municipal Election be read three times and passed.

#381 Jack Nicolson, Dick Harwood
That By-law # 2000-76, being a by-law to establish a civic addressing
system be read three times and passed.
Carried

#382 Elva Price, Faye R. Putnam
That the Policy and Procedure, dated July 21, 2000 to implement a Purchase
Order System be adopted.
Carried

#383 Dick Harwood, Faye R. Putnam
That Council adjourn until the next regular meeting or the call of the
Mayor.
