COUNCIL MINUTES - JULY 12TH, 2000

Council met in Special Session on Wednesday, July 12th, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. at the
Municipal Office, Sharbot Lake with all members present except Mike Beattie.
Councillor Bob Harvey attended until 3:10 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting was to receive the report from Archibald Peterson
regarding Road 38 and Glenn Tunnock regarding the Official Plan.

Staff members in attendance were Judy Gray, Bill Nicol, Ian Trickett, Cathy
MacMunn, Heather Fox and Bev Howes Irwin.

Discussion took place that the ratepayers of Central Frontenac could not afford
the 7.5 million dollar estimated cost to complete the work required for Road 38
repairs and re-paving, and that another attempt with the Province be launched.

Glenn Tunnock advised that all of the suggested and requested changes could not
be made as the municipality did not have the administrative resources to be able
to do it. It was suggested a procedural guideline be established for anyone
making an application. Another public meeting is to be scheduled for sometime
in August in conjunction with the Zoning By-law public meeting.
