COUNCIL MINUTES - DECEMBER 4, 2000


The Inaugural Meeting of the Township of Central Frontenac was held on December
4, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Hall, Sharbot Lake with all members
present.

Approximately 50 people were in attendance.

The meeting was called to order by the Clerk. Reverend Stephen Olmstead offered
the opening prayer.

Heather Fox, Clerk, conducted the Declaration of Elected Office and Oath of
Affirmation or Allegiance for Mayor Bill MacDonald.

Mayor Bill MacDonald conducted, in unison, the Declaration of Elected Office and
Oath of Affirmation for Councillors Robert Harvey, Marsden Kirk, Jack Nicolson,
Boyce Peters, Elva Price, Faye Putnam, Frances Smith and Bill Snyder.

Mayor Bill MacDonald gave his inaugural address followed by each Councillor in
alphabetical order.

Elizabeth Fulton, CAO, Frontenac Management Board, Dave Willis, O.P.P., Dave
Gemmill, Parham Ambulance and Marcel Giroux, chair of the 9-1-1 Committee were
introduced and welcomed.

District Volunteer Fire Chief Derek Matson was also introduced.

Staff members in attendance were introduced, being Judy Gray, Bill Nicol, Cathy
MacMunn, Bev Howes Irwin, Ian Trickett, Sandra Clow, Marlene Halladay, Ivan
Porter, Donald Delyea, Maurice O'Connor, Randy Vinkle and Heather Fox.

Ralph Gatfield lead the singing of O'Canada.

Reverend Barbara Mahood offered the closing prayer.

The following resolutions were presented:

That the agenda be adopted as presented.

#554 Faye R. Putnam, W.P. Snyder
That Jack Nicolson be appointed as the Deputy Mayor until December 31,
2001.

#555 Jack Nicolson, Bob Harvey
That the Inaugural Meeting adjourn until December 11, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Sharbot Lake Municipal Office.
Carried


The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. followed by coffee and refreshments.
