COUNCIL MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING - APRIL 4TH, 2000


Council met in special session Tuesday, April 4th, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambers, Sharbot Lake with all members present except Jack Nicolson,
Faye Putnam and Dick Harwood. Staff members in attendance were: Jim Hegadorn
and Heather Fox. The primary purpose of the meeting was to hear the
presentations by Consultants for Road 38.

Presentations were made by: MacIntosh Hill, OMM Trow, Tottem Sims Hubicki
Associates, Archibald Peterson Ltd. and the Ainley Group.

The following resolutions were passed:

#161 Elva Price, Doug Bearance
That the agenda be adopted as presented.

#162 Doug Bearance, Elva Price
That Olden District Fire Department be granted approval to store the
pumper, being declared surplus, in the storage garage on Long Lake Road and the
District Fire Chief, Jamie Riddell, be provided with a key. Any further
decision regarding hydro and telephone and at that site be deferred until
further discussion with the Director.

That the runoff water in the Arden Waste Disposal Site be sampled,
analyzed and a report filed with the Public Works Manager as per Golder's Draft
Report, dated March 2000.

#164 Doug Bearance, Bob Harvey
That the proposal submitted by Archibald Peterson for Engineering Services
required for Road 38, in response to the Terms of Reference, be accepted in the
amount of $23,300.00.

#165 Elva Price, Doug Bearance
That the meeting adjourn until Monday, April 10, 2000 at Mountain Grove or
at the all of the Mayor.
