COUNCIL MINUTES - MAY 20, 1998

Council met in special session to discuss the O.P.P. proposal to obtain further information before a determination is made as to whether or not to sign a 5 year contract for O.P.P. services or remain with the status quo. All members of Council were in attendance except Doug Bearance. Heather Fox was also in attendance. Members of the O.P.P. in attendance were Tom Varga, Rick Cazabon, Staff Sergeant Mike Reid and Glen Fowler.

Many questions were answered after which an informal discussion took place. Rick Cazabon indicated he would be prepared to make a presentation and field questions should Council decide to hold a public meeting on this matter.

No decisions were reached as to whether to enter into a contract or remain with the status quo.

The meeting informally adjourned.
