Township Council Minutes - February 23, 1998
COUNCIL MINUTES - FEBRUARY 23, 1998
Council met in regular session to continue the agenda from February 16,1998.
All members were present except
Jack Nicolson who was attending Good Roads. Clerk, Heather Fox was also
present.
Tipping fees were discussed so that a new By-law could be prepared and the
decision was deferred until the Waste
Management Committee could review and make a recommendation.
The Clerk was instructed to advertise for volunteer Recreation Committee
members.
The Clerk was instructed to contact Dr. Peter Bell and advise that due to the
change in funding from the Province
that the fact that there are two "Seniors Homes" in the new municipality that
rather then have a "Hostel Agreement"
each case would be considered individually.
The following resolutions were passed:

#88 That Council continue with the Agenda from February 16th, 1998
and other business as stated at the beginning of the
meeting.

#89 That the colour "Red" be designated as the official colour for
vehicles and
equipment for the Township of Central Frontenac.

#90 That the Township of Central Frontenac accept the name change
from the
Frontenac Management Board to the "Frontenac County Services
Board".

#91 That Council adopt the policy established by the Transition
Board on
March 11, 1997 that all Severance Applications, Minor Variance
Application,
Zoning By-law Amendment applications and Official Plan
Amendment applications
be screened by the appropriate Conservation Authority and the
appropriate fee
be paid by the applicant and the cheque to accompany the
application fee.
Agreement to be reviewed after 1 year.

#92 That the compressor not be rented out to dig graves in
cemeteries not owned by
the municipality as private individuals within the
municipality are equipped to do
this and should be hired ahead of hiring township equipment.

$100.00 prize be
awarded.

#94 That dump attendants are not authorized to accept payment at
the waste disposal
site and to advise people that bag tags can be used as a
tipping fee.

#95 That Kingston Sign Service be contracted to change the name of
Township of Oso
on the front of the building and that when road signs are
painted a sign be painted
for the front yard.

monthly basis to start

Health Unit requesting that the Sharbot Lake
Office of the Health Unit be authorized to do
all inspections in Central Frontenac.

#98 That Ian Trickett be authorized to attend Septic Tank
Inspection course at
Brockville at $77.00 per night for 5 nights March 2-6, 1998.

#100 That By-law #1998-8, being a By-law to appoint a Committee of
