Voting in the 2006 Election

Information on Voting in the 2006 Central Frontenac Municipal Election

Beginning with the 2006 municipal election voters will be electing one (1) Mayor, eight (8) Councillors and School Board Trustees for a four (4) year term.

The 2006 vote will be conducted by “Vote By Mail” as in the past.  The Voter Kits (ballots) will be mailed out between October 16th and October 20th by Canada Post.  The deadline for mailing completed ballots back to the municipality is November 3rd 2006, to ensure your vote is counted.

Each voter is entitled to vote for one (1) mayor (elected at large) and two (2) councillors.  There will be two (2) councillors elected for each Electoral District.  If you own property in more than one Electoral District you must vote in the Electoral District where you reside.  If you are a non-resident and own property in two (2) or more Electoral Districts, you may choose which Electoral District you wish to vote in, however, you may only vote in one (1) Electoral District.
