Roads and Bridge Divisions

The Township of Central Frontenac's Public Works Department is responsible for the design and construction of municipal roads, bridges and drainage systems, as well as, Funded or Capital construction projects. If funding is available we have ongoing construction projects , and as time goes by additional erosion creates new areas of now needs construction.

 The Roads Department has 2 Supervisors responsible for scheduling work activities at the direction of the Public Works Manager.

The Public Works Manager is responsible for administration of the design and construction of municipal roads and drainage systems, the development of the departmental budget and administering the municipal road occupancy permit system and municipal consents.

Other administrative responsibilities include the preservation, maintenance and rehabilitation of approximately 562.3 kilometres of roads (gravel, hard surfaced, asphalt), bridges, sidewalks, streetlights, drainage, winter control, signage, maintenance and removal of trees on municipal properties and the acquisition, maintenance and repair of corporate vehicles and equipment.
