Home Ownership Program Now Available
To Frontenac County
Residents – Down payment assistance
equal to 5% of the purchase price of a home
to a maximum of $12,500 is now available to
those currently renting in the City
of Kingston or the County of Frontenac; who do not have any
vested interest in any real estate; and who qualify under
the program guidelines.
This program is
administered through the City of Kingston. For more

WANTED:
Volunteer Firefighters
The Township of Central
Frontenac is seeking qualified candidates for volunteer
firefighters. We are looking for individuals possessing a
strong sense of caring, who can remain calm and focused during
emergency situations, and who are prepared to put their own
lives on the line to save others. This physically
demanding position will see you combat fires, perform rescue
operations, and provide medical assistance in an emergency
environment, as well as handle routine maintenance of
firefighting equipment and facilities. Candidates must
have a strong desire to serve the community, a strong work ethic
and a strong sense of loyalty and duty.

New Recycling Initiatives
The Township is now offering Blue Recycle Bins for purchase for all of your recycling needs. Recycle Bins can be purchased at the Township office and all three waste disposal sites during regular business hours for just $6.00.
Bag Tag Exchange Program
The Council for the
Township of Central Frontenac passed a motion on March 13th,
2012 stating that:
“Numbered Bag Tags
can be exchanged for Township clear plastic bags up to a
maximum of $20.00 per household and this can be done until
September 30th, 2012 at the Township office.”
This means that all
of the old tags from the original four Townships will not be
accepted for a refund. Also the short yellow tags with no
identification number on them will also not be accepted. Any
