Located on the edge of the Canadian Shield, Central Frontenac is located equal distances from Ottawa and Kingston. The beautiful Land O Lakes scenery and friendly people, along with attractive land prices make this area a prime destination for young families, retiree's and everyone in between.

It is the Township’s intent to ensure that as many property owners have a voice as possible on all issues. To that end, we ask that you assist staff and council by telling us what is important to you, as a property owner, and how we can improve.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the on-line questionnaire by clicking the link below:

New Recycling Initiatives
Effective immediately Central Frontenac now recycles all tetra packs and milk cartons. Please remove the plastic lids from the Tetra packs. The tetra packs and milk cartons go in the paper bin while the plastic lid, goes in the cans/plastics bin. The Township also now recycles paper coffee and pop cups and their lids. The cups go in with the paper while the lids go into the cans and plastics bin.
Effective immediately all brush, leaf and yard waste and clean lumber must go to the burn pile at the Hinchinbrooke transfer station. These items will not be accepted under any circumstance at the Olden and Oso waste site.
The Township will begin accepting bulk Styrofoam at the Olden and Oso waste sites January 1, 2012. Bulk Styrofoam is Styrofoam from large and small appliance boxes known as EPS (Expanded Polystyrene). All Styrofoam must be bagged in generic clear bags before going into the bins. SM Blue and Pink house insulation is not excepted as well as small Styrofoam such as packing peanuts, coffee cups, plates and take out dishes will still go to the dump as waste.
Helpful hint EPS breaks into small beads in your hands.
The Township now recycles all dry cell batteries at each of the three waste sites, the Township Office, certain schools and local businesses. Click here for a list of participating Businesses and Schools
